After having read many posts in this forum titled *noob needs help flashing xbox 360" or something similar, I was wondering why no one has mentioned the soft mod 360 Modification Disc v1.5 by FrostyTheSnowman ?
Whats the difference between this and the likes of Jungle flasher ?
The very mention of "spears", "Iprep" and "dosflash" confuse and quite frankly scare the hell out of me as the "Modification Disc v1.5" mention nothing on these ! Am I missing a anything here?
Has anyone any experience with this ? My understanding is it will allow me to play backed up games ! Will I still be able to play Xbox live ? Being a complete novice myself, I have a few other questions I'm hoping someone can answer. Are these the correct steps to use this software
1) Burn iso to disk
2) Connect Xbox to the SATA drive or where ?
3) Boot xp with the burnt disc
4) Follow step-by-step instructions. Is there anything I need to be aware of at this step. I have read many posts about backing up a key or does this do this for me ? Anything else ?
I presume after all this, I should be able to play back up games on DVD ........ if all went well.

to get a lite-on key you still need the spear. and to be honest with you using jungleflasher, iprep, or dosflash is faster and easier than finding that iso and downloading it and burning it. you can do everything in windows faster.
but that cd is pretty nice. if you have a lite-on you still need the spear though, so be prepaired for that. if you have a benq or samsung or even hitachi, you dont need any tools, unless its a hitachi 79 then you need to unlock it using a cd, or windows program.
