Gunfire noise in Rainbow Six: Vegas 2

When I join a coop campaign in Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 at some portions of the map I hear continuous gunfire noise, as if bullets are being constantly fired, and its not like someone is actually shooting, because I will be moving in the map and the gunfire will last for 2 or 3 minutes, and as soon as I leave that portion of the map, the gunfire noise will go away.

This occurs at various spots in the campaign, its loud gunfire noise that drowns out all other sounds, it sounds like someone is standing right next to you and constantly firing.

Has anyone else noticed this? Is there a fix for this?

I am playing a backup, but I checked the backup with AGBX, XBC, Schtrom and XdvdMulleter, it checks out on all of them.

i've had this happen to me also, never really figured out a way to fix it. for me though it would happen at the end of the level, or multiplayer match.
