could you play games before the release date? i mean if you unplug the ethernet cord. but i think even if you do unplug then when you plug it back it will say you have played whatever game right? i don't know guys just wonderin about this.

what would stop you? you can if you want, but playing it way before release may be kinda risky. i was playing street fighter 4 about 5 days early.

playing games before the release date is the easiest and fastest way to get your account banned from xbox live ... the console has a way of logging the games you play offline...

it will transmit that log whenever you plug in the network cable again... it would be safe to do if you NEVER plan on using xbox live again...

Agreed, playing games before the release date seems like a fast track to getting banned. I'd wait until the game comes out so you know you have a legit rip of the game.

When I play games before release date I always keep the ethernet unplugged (obviously.. lol) and also I keep my hard drive disconnected. I save any kind of game data to a memory card and never use that online.
