First, power up your psp using the mains power supply with no battery inserted.

Then put in the pandora battery - the power light should turn orange as it does when you charge a normal battery.

You can now turn the psp off and leave the battery to charge as normal. The orange light will turn off (as normal) when fully charged.

I tried this but the orange light never turned on. It turns orange if the power adapter is put in after the pandora battery is put in but turns off a second later.

I have psp that doesnt show an orange light when charging but it still charges. Just try to charge it. Turn the psp back on and see if the battery meter went up.

It is a "special" battery that you can make or buy. It puts the psp into a service mode and you can install original firmware or custom firmware onto you psp with files from the memory stick. Works on all fats and most slims. It doesn't work with PSP 3000 yet.
