hi guys well im hoping someone can help me out,im getting a starview 2 in from the uk it obiously has the uk firmware on it,can someone please tell me do i need to do a factory reset to get rid of the uk firmware so as i can install the irish firmware?im with c***us in cork true cable,or do i leave the uk firmware on it?ive gone through all the forums and threads and im getting more confused by the minute,and getting nervous that when i get the box that ill wreck it with the wrong software,,please help someone....thanks in advance
More than likely it will only come with FTA firmware and will not work for "all" channels. You need firmware version 4.57 and loader 4.03. You will find all you need in Eamos at the end of my post.
BTW you do realise that most Starview 2s available now,will be clones where did you get it from?

hi thanks for the reply the person that i got the box from has had it for 2 years,so im hoping that its genuine and he has been using it in the uk,so if it is genuine do i need to do a factory reset to clear the uk software before i put the ireland software on it?or do i just do a scan on my provider i appreciate your help on this.
