My PSP battery bricked/dead?

I got my PSP SLIM hacked using friends PSP FAT pandora battery. Everything was fine except as I was moving files to my psp from my pc, I accidentally dropped my psp (my psp was on top of my desktop pc and I knocked it over)... then after few seconds/minutes it just shut off itself then I could not turn it back on. I can play games and etc only if I dont insert the battery and connect my psp to the AC Adaptor. If i have my battery inserted and connect to AC Adaptor it shows orange light and psp turns on like normal and after 5 mins it turns off. Is my psp battery dead?

Also I think i deleted some files as I was moving files..
After reading the posts on this forum I found out that my memory card did not have a file called EEPROM.BIN
I have tried downloading someone elses eeprom and putting it on root of my memory card. I also have tried connecting wires to 1st and 3rd slot of the battery but it still doesnt work...
PLZ help...

just get a new battery, it's most likely dead (I killed my battery like that a week ago)
