hello,
What do you think is the best video editing software? I used to use Roxio Videowave 10, but I found it had lots of bugs so i'm looking for something new.
I use it only to edit home movies. I'm looking for something similar to Videowave if possible since I'm familiar with that software. Something with lots of cool features such as video effects would be nice!
Thanks,

try the demo womble mpeg video wizard dvd. It's a frame accurate editer with transitions and multi audio capabilitys. I use it mainly to edit mpegs (removing commercials).
Stay away from pinnacle products, those have alot of features and effects but, they always crash.

Thanks,
Why don't you follow up on the threads that you have running, in the Roxio forums?

thanks to all for writing.
jony: i'll take a look at womble. I've never heard of them before. And thanks for the Pinnacle warning.
i found this article:
http://video-editing-software-review.toptenreviews.com/
and they rated Pinnacle as #6, but I've heard from other reviews that it crashes as well, so that is good to know!
Maestro: that's funny, my dad gave me Adobe Premier Pro a while ago. I have Version 7. is that an older version? I installed it a few days ago, but the interface looks a bit user-unfriendly. i see the Timeline view, but couldn't find a Storyline view.
Grandpa: hi, nice to see you from the roxio forum! when you say to follow up on Roxio, you mean regarding why i don't like videowave? but some of my videowave bugs couldn't be re-created by the roxio forum members. they were very helpful, but couldn't re-create my problems: like where i had to add 2 text boxes just in order to view one of them. or how my overlays would show up one day, but then not the next day. or they would show up in the preview, but not in the main video.

it is user unfreindly because its made for professionals. Its the best so i would jus take the time and learn to use it because it does everything, its pretty awsome now as far as the version, i use adobe creative suite production premium 4 which is a bundle of many diff adobe programs, cs4 is the latest version
