Do i have to use the standard keyboard used with XP (USB version) or can i use any keyboard that can be used in the XMB, mainly refering to the ps3's clip-on keyboard. thanks

You can use the PS3's thumb-pad keyboard to install linux. =)

as long as the PS3 reads it it shouldn't be a problem it can be usb or whatever you choose
