When I plug in my (fat) PSP with the battery inside of it, there's an orange light. It won't turn on (but the orange blinks off approximately every one minute, and then turns back to orange. I'm not sure if this is normal.)

When I plug in my PSP with the battery outside of it and only the AC adapter, the PSP doesn't turn on at all.

I have two AC adapters and I've tried it with both to no avail. I also suspect my battery is not the problem as it appears to be charging. Any suggestions?

I opened it up and tried the method showed to start it at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYRnaImG28E&feature=related , but it didn't start the PSP, the green simply flashed.

I've tried a lot of googling and still can't find what's wrong. My PSP had a custom firmware for a while before it stopped working.

Can you use pandora to boot it, if not it could be a corrupted nand(possibly fixable) or a fried motherboard from one of the chargers.

I just made a pandora battery out of my original PSP battery (with a knife and pin) following all of the instructions and nothing has changed. Is there anything else that I could do?

You did make the magic memory stick right(I see this problem in youtube a lot)If you did and it still doesn't work it might not be fixable through software. :(
