newer SMS players doesn't detect my USB... why?

I use:
-Swap Magic 3.8
-PNY attache 2GB usb drive
-uLaunchelf 3.0

I use swap magic > ulaunchelf > SMS player

Older SMS players can detect my usb flash drives but not the newer ones. The newest one that can detect it is 2.6 but I want the newest version. Whats the problem?

Thanks for your reply.

With that version, it detects my USB drive but none of the files in it. Could it be because I have SMS player and other files on my usb drive that im trying to play?

It makes no difference even if you have non-video files in there SMS should be able see whats inside. Try re-formatting it and make sure its a FAT file system.

Thanks again for your reply VWatts, but that didn't do it either. I tried reformatting my USB drive to FAT and also to FAT32, but that didn't seem to make a difference. I think it might be my USB drive itself as the problem.
