A burned swap disc will not work, because a CD/DVD burner can't reproduce the process required to create a swap disc. And to play PS2 backups, you need to mod your PS2. You can either get a mod chip, or softmod it using a cheat device, such as Action Replay Max, Codebreaker, or Gameshark. I'm not too sure on what versions work, although I know with AR Max if you have the one with the media player and flash drive included then you should be fine.
