With internal codecs Fairuse Wizard respect set target file size with very good precision. However, I wanted to use the latest xvid (1.2.1), instead of the bundled one (datestamped -06). Now things got out of control. I can't seem to just enter a value in the target size box any more. It seems to run single pass encoding even so. What's wrong? Is this issue out of my hands? Compatability issues with FUW2? Or is there anything I could do? I also tried switching to "Encoder settings" in the drop-down-box, thus entering 2nd-pass-settings manually through xvidcore.dll settings box. This doesn't work either though. And, even if it did, it would be a hazzle, since audio encoding is the "mid process" in FUW2, making it a real detour being forced to transcode audio first by hand, to have the mp3-size ready for "discount" when calculating target size through xvidcore.dll..

I hope you get the deal. In simple, is there any way to fix this? Since the internal xvidcore.dll seems to work like a charm, maybe I could recompile FUW2 with latest xvidcore? Anyone know where to fetch the src package? It's told to be open, right?

Anyways, thanks for all answers.

Regards,,
C.
