Hi There.
I'm using a Pacific Digital Internal dvd-ram burner for backing up large digital audio files.

Even though the drive states it burns at 2x speed I can only burn at 1x.

I've tried DVD-RAM 9.4 gb discs by Optodisc, Maxell, Memorex, TDK, Panasonic and Imation and the results are the same.

I even tried a QPS firewire dvd-ram drive with no different results.

Can anyone burn DVD-RAM discs at 2x and with what.

System info;
WIN 98se
P3 1gig
512 ram
Intel 815 Chipset
Intel Mother board
20 GIG 7200 rpm Program drive
1 7200 rpm data drive and 2 removable 7200 rpm data drives

Thanks in advance for any help.

Cheers
