Hello,
I just installed Vuze and downloaded a couple movies. I then went to the directory where the files were stored at in my computer, and burned them to a DVD. The DVD completed. The DVD only works on the computer. It does not work on the DVD player to watch on the television...
I also tried using DVD Shrink to burn burn a copy, but Shrink did not even open the files in order to burn the dvd.
How can I watch the movies I downloaded from Vuze on my TV?
Thanks!

DVD Shrink does not burn.
If Shrink won't open the files then they are not DVD compliant files.
What type of files are they?
You may need to convert them.
I c...I have about 4 movies...and each one of them has a different ending to it...here is a list of what I have...do you think you could tell me how to convert them, and what to convert them to?

PS: i wasnt in a hurry...I typed "need help" in the previous message because I accidently posted the same question twice...and didnt know how to delete it, therefore I figured I could just put a simple sentence down instead of the entire question again...sorry
You want the files to be in DVD format, MPEG-2, for a standalone player (or use a player that can process the files). Some players can handle mutliple formats. A Video_TS folder containing IFO, BUP, and VOB files is the correct structure for DVD. Your PC obviously has software to play the files you downloaded. I have Netflix instant play, but I have to have a "box" to watch the movies on TV. Sounds like a different setup than yours, nothing stores on the PC except the software to play the streaming download.
You can look up DivX and XVid in the glossary for a brief explanation. There are converters to transform those formats to DVD. No idea if it will work with your particular files. Companies usually have some twist inclued to protect their product. ConvertXtoDVD from VSO and NeroVision from the Nero suite are a couple of programs that I use to convert unprotected files. There are others. If they can process the files, they will convert to DVD for you and the output be playable on a standalone.
