I used dvddecrypter 3.1 to rip two video mpeg files of planet of the apes.They turned out great! Then I checked the audio files and I got the comentary version instead of the movie audio version.? I could not unzip Ac3fix.exe. on my amd xp2000+. What's happening to me? Thanks Rad ps.I tried ripping with smart ripper and dvdx and the same thing happened!

When you rip movies you're not just ripping one audio track, there are several. The audio tracks marked with 0x80 are the default tracks so choose them whenever you are encoding.

I successfully got the audio into ac3 0x80, butI can't play back the sound? I still can't open ac3fix.exe with windows xp! What's next? Thanks rad

Your best bet would be to use smartripper and choose the files of the movie only. Don't select any audio tracks or anything. Use FlaskMpeg or something to encode it and when you choose 0x80 with it, It will definetly make sure the audio is encoded & multiplexed properly. If you try to encode audio on its own with most programs, it will come out with either no sound or corrupted sound.
