Hello all,

I am attempting to burn 3 avi files that I downloaded from an online source. I have attempted this with Roxio 10 and with Windows DVD Maker, but neither will accept the files. I am able to play them no problem in WMP, and have K-Lite and ffdshow on my computer.

The errors I get:

1) Roxio: "The file you are trying to use can not be edited, and has not been added." (I don't want to edit them, just burn them!)

2) Windows DVD Maker: "The file is not valid or is corrupted."

I am kind of a dummy when it comes to this stuff, so I would really appreciate your input. MediaInfo follows in case this is helpful.

I am sure that you are aware that this disk will not be playable in all standalone DVD players :)
That said the best program for burning is ImgBurn. Just burn the .avi files to disk as data files.

Hi, thanks for your response!

I am aware not all players can play burned discs. :)

My player doesn't read data discs, but will read burned DVDs, so using IMG Burn isn't an option unfortunately.

I can usually create my own DVD through Roxio (making my own menus and what not) and can then watch it on my player. But for whatever reason, I can't add these particular files.

I always figured if I could watch the show on my PC, I had the needed codecs, but maybe I'm missing something?
