Hi guys I recently bought a used Xbox 360 Flashed ( not sure which version ) to play back up games

So I got Fifa 09 from craiglist (Copy) and it works PERFECT

Now I got about 4 newest games from a different craiglist (notable) seller

but all his games are being "Unreadable, please clean" so I asked him

that his discs are defects, but he is insisting that my Xbox 360 needs to be reflashed to a latest firmware....And since I have no clue what version my Xbox 360 is

Although he may be right....about reflashing my xbox 360, how is it possible that I am able to play Fifa 09 perfectly? Do you think there is something wrong with his backup? or my xbox 360?

possibly both, older firmwares cant get around bad angle checks on some games, newer firmwares can, or he may be using crappy dvd's. its hard to say.
