Yes you can use an IDE hdd from your PC to use on the slim

Also tell me the sulution of fixing DVD play Back problem..

You have a V12 slim PS2. They have an issue where it is probably due to a coil burnout on the PSTwo laser lens
You need to replace the laser lens.
