how do i know if a game has a update on it does brick blocker tell you this or do i patch every game?

If you're playing games from the same region you don't have to worry about it. If they're different region games I would run them all through brick blocker just to be safe. From my understanding the backup launcher blocks updates, but I still run them through brick blocker just to make sure.

Thanks for the reply merandom i live in a pal region and use pal games. Can i use ntsc games if i use brick blocker? i didnt know this.

Yes, Brick blocker removes an update in a wii game to make sure that if the console updates from the disc it doesn't use the USA or JAP update instead of PAL (if it did it would brick the wii)

Yes, you can play NTSC games on a PAL console if you use Brick Blocker. If you're using the backup launcher you just have to make sure you force PAL. Not all games will work 100%, but most should work.

Hi Paul
What sort of modchip do you have? The newer chips are able to block updates from other regions eg. wiikey2 and drivekey. Depending on your chip you might be able to update it to add the brick blocking feature.
