was the file in-sync b4 you cut it?? if it was, id try using another cutting program like tmpge's merge&cut feature (if you have it), i cant say ive ever come across a cutting problem using tmpge

i used to hate going to weddings, all the old dears would poke me and say "your next", they stopped saying it after i did it to them at funerals -Chopper Reid-

it comes with tmpge

goto file>mpeg tools>merge&cut>add(thevid you want to cut)>double click on the file and hey presto

also make sure if your making a VCD in the type dropdown menu you set it to mpeg-1videocd, or if your making a svcd/dvd set it to mpeg2-supervideocd

ahhh shit man my bad my bad, i thought you had converted the file to mpeg already

i never cut avis, as i dont see the point. if your going to convert the file eventually anyway i'd cut it after ive encoded the file, saves alot of fucking around(sync issues ect ect), and also you can encode it in one hit

so use the merge and cut feature after youve encoded with the settings i said b4

all that being said thats only if you want to encode ur file to mpeg, but i dont really know why you'd want to cut the file if you werent right ;)

also you dont have to use tmpge to encode if you dont want, you could use any encoder and tmpges merge&cut feature would still work a treat (but i recommend tmpge, its never let me down)

sorry for the confusion
cheers m8

ahh i c, you want to convert to dvd

but why do you want to cut it when ur conveting it to dvd??

a dvd-r can hold 4.7gb. surely ur xvid file isnt more than 1gb(ur xvid wont be more than 1.5gb when converted)

therefor cutting wont be nessiary

anywayz cheers m8
