Been reading around the forums a lot and have decided to go for a soft-mod way to play backup games.

I have a lot of questions though.

Additional info about my PS2:

-PS2 Slimline SCPH-75001 (NTSC)

-Warranty has been voided already
-I opened it up to remove the sensor inside and soldered two wires on it (it works)
-Because of this, I can get a mod-chip if need be
-Additionally, I don't need the swap tools to swap discs

1. I used Alcohol 120% to burn my games. I have the ISO downloaded, do I just burn it straight? (using PS2 data type, etc.) Will it work? (DVD-R)

2. I heard swap magic doesn't work for my version of the PS2 slim. Is this true? If it is, is there any other swap disc out there?

3. I also heard about the memor32 + memento. Will this work for my version of the ps2 slim?

4. Has anyone else used memento? Is it worth getting? Trustworthy? Will it play back-up discs?

(Additonal questions that don't necessarily need to be answered)
5. Does anyone know any mod-chip installers in the Lower Mainland (Canada, BC, Vancouver, Richmond Area)? You can PM me about it.

6.What are the best mod-chips for my model?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

It should work, although most use Imgburn to burn ISO images to DVD-R, and use Alcohol 120 for CD or PS1 backups.

2. I heard swap magic doesn't work for my version of the PS2 slim. Is this true? If it is, is there any other swap disc out there?

That is incorrect. Swap Magic works fine with all PS2 models.

3. I also heard about the memor32 + memento. Will this work for my version of the ps2 slim?

Yes memor32 works great on this Version PS2

4. Has anyone else used memento? Is it worth getting? Trustworthy? Will it play back-up discs?

Yes it will play backups just fine, and for the ones it doesn't work, you then copy the ESR r9b ELF to the memor32 and they work fine.

Sorry I only know of installers for the Wii, don't know if they do PS2

6.What are the best mod-chips for my model?

DMS4, Crystal Chip 2, Modbo, Duo 3 ultra are just some of the top ones to mention.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
