I am looking for a modded 360. I am pretty much illiterate when it comes to electronics so the thought of installing my own doesnt seem reasonable. Any advice or help would be amazing
one more thing, this may sound really pathetic but here goes, my original xbox was modded, i bought it that way. does the 360 mod work the same way with ripping games to hard drive, etc. Oh and I just found this site today and have spent the last four hours reading and soaking it all in. its a pretty awesome service you guys have here.
Well, with the new NXE dashboard update for the 360 you can install a game's data onto the HDD. You will still need the disc inside though but there are many benefits.
But right now no you cannot play games off of a HDD alone.
ok, so i am assuming since everyone seems to see it as a necessity, it offers alot in spite of needing the disc. I have a unmodified 360 right now, are there place u can go or companys that will mod something for u or is it a strictly do it yourself thing. and thanks for answering so quickly.

if you are looking to get it modded but dont want to pay the super high prices that some online stores charge, me as well as some others here offer flashing for people who are members here. pm me if you are interested or you could talk to wabashman, bhetrick, and some others who do it as well.
