Hi,
Hope someone could help me shed some light on a very annoying issue I have had for a long time.
I have a standalone DNLA at home connected to a router which in turn is connected (hardwire) to the other units in the house such as printer, PC's, TV's and the PS3.
I have a Sony Bravia 46V connected also to the network.
So the issue is like this. I can play video through the PS3 from the DNLA perfectly, when I play MP3 files they play for exactly 1 minute and 5 seconds and then it stops playback freezes and displays the network error 80710723.
I have read a lot about this network error and seems to be due to ports not being open etc etc I have tried setting the PS3 as DMZ and all of those suggestions but this does not fix the issue.
I can play the exact same MP3 files play perfectly from the DNLA onto the Bravia, and also perfectly from the DNLA onto home PC's
I have also setup DNLA on the home PC to try to find out if it is the PS3 or the DNLA that has an issue, when streaming from the PC (using google media server and also tried windows media player) the same thing happens at 1:05, TV plays perfectly from all dnla sources.
I have tried many things with network configurations and have even performed a full restore on the PS3 but the issue is still there. Since I have isolated the fault in a methodical way it seems it has to be the PS3 where the issue lies.
Has anyone seen this before or have any clue what this issue is ? seems to be some buffer or something or ?? but then again why the TV can do it and why the PS3 does fine with video.
