Want to buy a new motherboard and use my old dvd drive, but how?

i have a console which is broke because the cpu is messed up, so i want to buy a new motherboard and use my old dvd drive!!!but i dont know how to do that.I know quite alot about the 360 but not this ..I was wondering if any 1 new how to sort this out because it would be cheaper than buying a new console.

If you plan on buying a new motherboard, you will need to know the DVD Key of the NEW motherboard you are buying. Then what you will do is flash that DVD Key to your old drive.

Your only option is to purchase the motherboard and the original drive which came with it. You need to extract the key from the drive and use it to spoof your old drive.

But honestly, it would just be easier to flash the drive which comes with the board. That is unless you get a board and the seller includes the key instead of a drive.
