Ok, from what i gather, i'm suppose to download games that have the eboot.phb (or something like that). Well, i have a .bin game and i wanna convert it to what i need, is there a way to do that?
Im not sure about the .bin file, but usually youll get a .img file that goes with it, if you have the .IMG file, use IMGBURN 2.4.2.0, just google it...
INGBURN allows you to convert the .IMG file to ISO...
once you have the ISO, you can convert that into a EBOOT.PBP using PYPOPS and PYTHON - you can download those here:
Neither of those tools is necessary but you can use them if you'd prefer but if the user has a PSone game in any img format, biniso, ect that they've converted with an image ripper eg ImgBurn which can be found here.
You can convert the image file (in your case .bin) to an eboot with RS-GUI PopStationMD found here that the psp can run.
Then move the eboot file that you just created into a folder with the games name into the psp game directory eg. PSP/GAME/FF7disc1/EBOOT.PBP
With RS-GUI PopStationMD you can create your own special menu for your PlayStation game in the PSP menu that can have images and sounds.
Choose the game ID from the list by clicking browse and put the ID number in the box and give the game a name and you're ready to go.
Remember not to rename the .PBP file to anything else except EBOOT.PBP
Well fans have made many background images and packs for the psone emulator just type into google the game's name then custom psp menu. For example "final fantasy vii custom psp menu".
Then normally the results will come up with video websites showing what the menu looks like with links in the comments section where to download the images for the menu.
Or you could make them yourself with Paint or Gimp or Photoshop. Go into RS-GUI PopStationMD and click the extra button in the bottom left corner.
The images should be in PNG format, well that's what I found works best but any will do. Click on the help buttons. They will give you the image dimensions for the various parts of the menu in pixels.
Edit your images that you'd like to use for your menu to the correct width and height and select them.
For the menu sound I didn't make my own I found a pack for my game but download Sonicstage from here and you can make your own .at3 or atrack3 files. There's probably another free program out there but I'm not sure.
This is the only link I could find though so be careful not to install the searchtoolbar that it tries to install when you're about to download it. Make sure you uncheck the box so you don't install it.
Install SonicStage then click File> Import> Music File or Scan folder to import a folder's worth of audio files.
Once the audio files are in your library right click the files that you'd like to convert to .at3 and click Convert Format
Select the OpenMG Audio (ATRAC3)option. Choose a quality (bitrate) What's there is fine and don't add copy protection obviously. Then click the convert button.
The file that you just converted should be in this directory if you installed SonicStage to the default location
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\SonicStage\Packages\Optimized Files
Then select that file that you converted in the RS-GUI PopStationMD with the SND0.at3 browse button.
To reduce errors it's probably better to rename your images and sounds to PIC1, SND0 ect.
Maybe you can help me with RS-GUI PopStationMD man...
I'm having a hard time getting this program to run on computer...
Here's my problem: I downloaded RS-GUI PopStationMD, then went on to create an EBOOT, this is what I got:
"This application has faild to start because cygwin.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem"
So I got this "cygwin.dll" file that it was aking for, put it in the same folder as the application, tried to create the EBOOT again, and this is what I got:
"This application has faild to start because cygwin1.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem"
So then I went and go the "cygwin1" file and placed it in the same folder as the app., and heres what I got AGAIN:
"This application has faild to start because cygwin1.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem"
To install cygwin1 I believe you copy the file into this directory C:\WINDOWS\system As I followed the instructions from DLL file.com and it said to place it in that directory. If it asks you for any more DLL files download what it asks and put them in there.
