hate to be the grp to bring you bad news but this info needs to be rls'ed to the scene
people need to know there is gonna be probs with new games.
I've included all the info we have found and also forwarded the
info and the rls to the stealth and fw teams.
Basically,
We have security features in the modded fw we use.
these features make sure that the PFI and Video are from Wave 1 or Wave 2
this was done to insure games not burnt right or with the data missing
wouldn't boot and lead to bannings.
When we used the program we all use to check our games we noticed that
MLB 2K9 Had a new pfi and Video A so called 3rd wave.
Here is the 3rd video wave from below

now for those of you that don't know what that means
THIS GAME WILL NOT BOOT ON CURRENT MOD
The only way we could get the game too boot was by rolling back our mod to 1.41 non stealth on a benq

Not too much can be done about this untill we see another new game to see if this is the new way or what
there is question if they <censor>ed up and its just mlb 2k9 like this

No. The only way to use a burnt copy of MLB is to downgrade your fw to a non stealth version of it. Otherwise you will have to wait until 1.6 comes out.

Well if I have a modded XBOX 360 will I be able to play the game? ( I mean backed up game? )
I'm a newbie to XBOX360 technologies and gaming... Can someone tell me whether Flashing the XBOX 360 DVD ROM and Modding XBOX 360 means the same? Which one is better? Modding or Flashing? If my Console is modded will I still have this 3rd wave video problems?

By the way how can I find out what is the version of flash my drive uses and more info? I do not know whether it is chipped or flashed too :( ( I mean it plays backed up games... but I'm not sure what kind of modding was done to it )

ask the person who gifted it to you. if they dont know maybe they can findout from the person they got it from. but if it is chipped you would be able to see the chip if it was take apart.

Thanks for the reply Stealthdf... What I want to know is if there is a way I can remove the DVD ROM, Attach it to the PC and execute any tool to detect the info? I thought there have to be some tools to check the flashed FW and give info regarding that :)

Mmmm... ya maybe... But from the knowledge which I have in flashing generic HW, before we flash the FW with the provided utility it checks the existing FW and gives some info about the size and version number along with the MF tag na? So I think if we use the Flash utility for the specific DVD ROM we might be able to get some info... I haven't tried yet... :) Got the console yesterday only.... Have to play at least one game fully before dissembling it :D LOL

well as far as flashing 360 goes we are usually only concerned with the drive key being correct. as when people flash it themselves they know what they are flashing with so there hasnt been a need to do a check from the drive. if you are going to take it apart anyway then look for a chip that has been added. if you dont find one then it isnt chipped. Try to play a non stealthed game and if it doesnt play then it means you have either 1.4 or 1.5. if a non stealthed game does play you could have Xtreme v 5.# or ixtreme 1.3 or lower. also if you know when you got this 360 you can rule out if it has certain fw on it by knowing when fw was released. such as if you got this unit a year ago then it cannot have 1.5 on it cause 1.5 was just released this past December.
