PS2 question about how to play japanese imported games

Hi I was just wondering is there any type of device that u can use to play imported japanese games instead of just buying a japanese console. I mean I will buy one if I have to but if there is another way of doing it I would much rather do it that way.
I get bored with the games that is sold in the U.S. and there are a couple of games that are only in Japan that I would like to play and order online. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Buy Swap Magic disc, it will be cheaper.

Be care though when buying online. Alot of sites offer SwapMagic for scam. I'd recommend one but i dont know any.

And thats not me in the video. I just googled it. :D

Ok I bought one online, now mainly what I want to know is that do I need anything else specific, Or do all I need is that and I would be able to play japan imports

There will be some installation of tools that came with the swap magic you bought. For instance, the guy in the video bought a SM that came with a flip top for a PS2 Slim. You use that to trick the console to think there is a disc inside when you make a switch.

The 1st and 3rd guides are for PS2 Fat(Older models)
The 2nd abd 4th are for PS2 Slims
