Lite-On Flashing Problems. FF80 or FFFF cannot get FF72

Hey Peops,
So after some serious reading and research on the net, I have come to the conclusion that my drive has either been bricked, or it was partially erased.
I have tried both dosflash and dosflash 32 in hopes to fully erase the drive.
Aka l-o-eras 9000
No matter whether the drive is powered on or off i still get FFFF or FF80.
Some say FF80 is ok, but in that case when I run dosflash it says NO ATAPI devices...
I am at my wits end here, any advice would be appreciated. But please I'm going to scream if somebody else replies and says keep hitting the l-o-eras...it will eventually change to FF72. NOT A CHANCE. There is something wrong.. :D
Problems started after I got the key, i tried to do lite on erase with JF .26 and it errored, comp didnt freeze but my drive will no longer eject, and it will not be picked up in windows.
From their I have tried the dosflash thing, cant for the life of me get it so show the status of FF72.
PLEASE HELP, I WILL BE ETERNALLY GRATEFUL!!!!

I have a suggestion, but I am not sure if it will help.
I flashed mine over the weekend with JF .43 and it went well. Maybe they have improved the prog since .26? It is worth a try if you think you have a bricked drive anyway. Give that a shot.
Did you dump the key? What did you use (xtractor/spear or ck/probe)? I used xtractor/spear with JF .43.

this is what i did and had no problems,,restart your pc and open jungleflasher,,when you click on the port were your liton is plugged it will say no device detected,,not true,because you erased the firmware it will not detect the drive but it is still there,after putting the drive back in to mode b,,do the liton erase again,and the power cycle,,you will see the drive,,and then you can write the ixtreme,,cheers

I am using the CK3 lite with probe. Yes I have dumped the key.
You are right it is undetected with Jungle flasher, I will update to .46 and try in windows.
Will let you know.

I must say, thank you for your posts. Even though jungleflasher wasnt picking up the drive, i did the erase again a few times and it caught it.

I have no officially flashed my first lite on!!!

And..I am back.
This time, new drive. I cant seem to get the DVD key to extract using any dosflash or jungleflasher.
It is either dvdkey invalid or 0000000 or bad serial data.
I have tried every process of ejecting the tray and putting it back half way when the power is off. Then turning it back on. Still no key.
I feel like the first drive i did was a complete fluke.
Some things to note:
No via drivers installed
using a PCI Via card 6421
My probe (from the ck3) was initially just blue LED now its always blue and green, could that be a problem is their something wrong with the probe?
please help!

i have the ck3/probe as well, i am asumming that is not good, contact team-xecuter and see whats up, as for the 00000 and shite, i think is related to drive tray not being in right position, what i do is leave the pc off(only use pc to power ck3), power on pc, open drive tray, turn off ck3, power off pc, push tray half closed maybe a little more, power on pc, power on ck3, load jungle flasher, and you know the rest. if it still don't work, gotta be the probe

its not your extractor,,check your comport,,if it is com1,,change it to com2,,and tri again,,it happened to me to,,cheers

Here's how I do every lite-on. And this is with a VIA 6421 card as well. I even have the via 5.30c drivers installed.
While windows is booting I eject the lite-on and power off ck3. I push the tray in about 60% and turn the power back on to the ck3.
Open jungle flasher and put the probe on the 707 but i dont push in.. i lay it down so it shorts the two solder points. The led turns green and I hit dump key.
I make the new fw with jungle flasher after it dumps and then i save it to file. I copy this lite_cfw.bin to my FLOPPY drive (A:)
I boot into dos and run l-o-eras (port#) and keep doing it till I get a FF72.
Then use dosflash 1.7 to flash it.
The end. Hope it helps.
