So I'm trying to get ps1 backups playing on my PS2.

I put the original ps1 disc in the drive, then turn on the console.

Then I open uLaunchElf (which auto-stops the disc because disc control is ON).

I use my slide-tool to swap the disc, and then use it to 're-close' the drive.

I exit to the PS2 Browser, see the 'PS1' icon, and select it.

The disc then makes some noises like it's trying to read but cannot. The farthest I can get it to load is to the PlayStation Logo.

I've tried Verbatim CD-Rs, burned at 1x, 2x, and 4x.

Did I miss something with this proceedure, or maybe my lens just sux?
It plays ps2 and ps1 originals fine.

Take off the front tray cover (either by unscrewing or breaking off, I recommend unscrewing) then turn on ps2 without a game inside, and go to browser, then put in a real ps1 game like you'd normally would. Once it's loaded, use your swap tool to take it out, and put in the burned cd, then close the tray and use the swap tool to lock it back in place. Highlight the cd and press x, and enjoy ^_^

This is the easiest way to play ps1 backups that I can think of, besides modding your ps2 (whether hard or soft)
