i have a slim running cfw 3.90 m33-2 and thinking of updating to 4.01 m33-2. which of the two cfw's is best for a slim??

The latest is 5.00 M33-6. It works great for me on my slim and phat :)

phrix626 is right.

you should always update to the latest custom firmware as they have fixes, increased speed and more options and all homebrew, games, and plugins will eventually be updated to require that firmware version anyway.
nothing changed significantly between 3.90 and 4.01 but themes and a few homebrew and plugins stopped working and needed updated and 5.00 add a few things like the PSN Store and a google search from the xmb, so you might as well go the the latest and grab what you need. i have the latest themes and popsloader for 5.00 in my signature that you can grab to make things easier if you do update.

well, shaaggy, i did upgrade to 4.01 m33-2 and all is well except when exiting from the mem stick back to xmb it it MUCH SLOWER than 3.90 m33-2. why? i changed my custom themes to 4.01 ones, i changed cxmb plugin, and the autostart plugin for my cintro was "for all m33 cfws". but it takes about 10 sec to get back to xmb screen. any ideas or suggestions. btw, i've thought of 5.01 cfw,but i keep seeing people on different forums wanting to downgrade back from that one. why? thanks for any help

their have been some people that didn't like 5.00 for various reasons but i havent had any troubles with it an it has an option to seed up the memory stick so that may fix your problem

upgraded my slim to 5.0 m33-6. working fine so far. not having anymore problems coming out of game mode- didn't need to speed up memory stick. thanks
