Hey I am new to this forum. I was trying to flash my cousins BenQ yesterday and I started reading from the Databank and then it said done and gave me my datasum as 0000. It then gave me an error saying the file did not have a valid version blah blah BACKUPS\1234567\12345\BenOF.bin
I dont really know what this means and I did not write because I got an error. I have flashed a couple of other BenQ's and nothing like this has happpened before. Now whenever I try to run Iprep in dos it doesnt say the same name. When it initially detected the drive in slot 6 it was names like VAD or something but now it says unknown drive or something. I dont think the drive is spinning because I dont hear anything, and when I turn the xbox on the light blinks green. When I plug it in the TV it says E65(hardware failure). I have tried everything. Thanks
The E65 error is stating that that console doesnt have any FW on the drive. Had this happen to me a long while back when i first did my benq, just reboot into iprep and run the rben command, and it should restore it back to stock, and then re-attempt to flash the drive.
if you do not have the rben command (you will unless you're using an older version of iprep), copy all the files from your current iprep stick to your computer somewhere, and download the newest version of iprep and recreate your boot stick, and just paste the original FW files onto the stick and rben will work.

I dont have an RBen option. I have the latest version of iPrep. The only options are dBen and fBen...D meaning to read and F meaning to flash. When I do fBen there is nothing for there to flash and I get an error. When I type dBen and type the number drive it is, I have a few options.[R] to read, [W] for write, [E] to erase flash, [LITEON K] to get LiteOn DVDkey, [LITEON E] to erase LiteOn flash.
ok, download like version .06 i believe, that one should have the rben function in it. i think thats the version that im still using as it has yet to fail me.

I will try that. I tried .006 earlier last night and it did not work very well for some reason. When I inputted the firmware file it said it wasnt valid. I tried this with every firmware I could get off Xbins so maybe it was my copy of iprep or something but I'll try again. Is there a way I can just reset it to factory defaults and try again. Please be specific as I am kind of new to all of this and dont have much experience.
the rben command will reset it to factory settings ( the 360 that is). And it probably said it was invalid because you need to update thedefinitions within iprep itself, then it should work.

It did not say invalid within iprep itself, It said it when I was in DOS using iprep. After it read and gave me Databank of 0000 it said in red that it is not a valid file.I dont quite know why. Any time I try using Iprep 006 or jungleflasher it also gives me a .net framerwork error even though I updated and none of the functions work
