do i have to get the VIA sata chipset or can i use my nforce board. I have a 680i mobo

Im sure you need the Via card with the specific chipset. You can try on you current one for free, SLAX should tell you if its not found. Let us know the results

Yes you can flash with a nforce I have the exact same one and i have flashed clmy samsung drives with my nforce but i dont know if you can flash other drives

Damn it, should of tried on my nForce mobo before I bought my Via card. Doh
