I know with the benq's you needed a specific via sata card or an nforce motherboard. But i read somewhere that with Jungle Flasher, you can just connect the benq to any computer thats not using the via sata or nforce chipset, and it will recognize it and you can flash it?

You can save yourself sometime and buy the VIA Sata card if you don't have a Nforce chipset. You will need the PortIO32 driver to have 360 drives recognized through Jungle Flasher. I haven't ever had to have the tray half way open on a BenQ.

its on this video where the guy has the benq opened half way.
and he uses the xtractor as well. but thats optional right, if I decide to use the via sata card? and use the 360 as a power source?
The only way to tell if the Nforce works is by just trying it out. VIA 6421 chipset is a 100% guarantee to work, so that is why I said save yourself some time. You can flash BenQs with the drive close, that is what I have always done. Yes you can use the 360 as a power source. Though it is rather a pain to move around (in my small workplace). I use a dvd connectivity kit and it works so much better for my situation.
same. I was wondering if you could tell me where exactly I look to see if it is compatible (sorry i have no idea) and what exactly do I buy if it is not?
ppedro, you do not need the BenQ half-way open. Only the LiteOn drive needs to be half-way open (to put it in a special mode to be able to be read).
ppedro, no not all nforce mobos will work.
bdm214, I can't tell you exactly where to look, but like leerage said, save yourself some time (and headache) by buying a "VIA" Sata card. I bought this card one a month ago, and it works perfectly.

1: Install "Net Framework 2.0" or higher.
2: Install "PortIO32 driver".
3: Install VIA Sata card (but do NOT install it's drivers).
4: Run JungleFlasher and read it's tutorial.
(about a 20 minute process the first time)
