i have a liton drive that is flashed with ixtreme 1.5
i am wondering how do you upgrade an already flashed drive?

I was wondering this also, would you need to downgrade to was.bin (or then.bin cant remember) and then up to 1.51 when its released?

With the Lite-ON, it is impossible to flash back to original firmware. So you will have to just overwrite 1.5. With the Samsung and BenQ drives, you can flash back to the original firmware, but I have always just overwrote the iXtreme firmware. With the Hitachi, it is recommended to flash back to the original firmware, and then flash the iXtreme firmware.

I just want to know if you installed the original of a game to the 360 hard drive, would it be any easier to create a backup? Would you only need the security code from the orignal to play the game or would all the game data be neccessary? If this cannot be done now, could firmware ever be released that would allow this to happen or is it impossible?

You can Not play games off harddrive without it in dvd. I have seen nothing saying this will ever be a feature. That would be a mod to the xbox firmware not the drive anyways.
