hi all,
my xbox360 has a Benq Vad6038 drive.
i want to flash the dvd drive...i was just wondering what flashing does.

Why would you want to flash your drive if you don't know what flashing your drive does?

Flashing you drive will allow you to play backup (copied) games on your 360

thanks guys,

does it have to be reflashed ever so often? after flashing is playing copied (burnt) music discs/ burnt dvd (backups) possible?

yes it makes it possible to play burnt game burnt music was always an option. Also new firmware comes out periodically and you will want to reflash to stay current with stealth and features
