Hi I have a lite-on drive and I am VERY NEW to this. Can someone please be nice to explain to me the easy way to flash this. I dont give a crap about xbox live I want a firmware that plays every game so also let me know what firmware to flash it with. thank you
Ok, there really is no easy way to doing this. First you need to get the key from the Lite-On drive. That requires you taking the DVD Drive out of its metal casing, and touching a point on the drives PCB. You can actually make this tool yourself, which will save ya quite a bit of money. Otherwise you can buy a tool to do it. Just look for 360 Xtractor, read up on that.
Once you get the key, you can just flash the drive in Windows to the 1.5 iXtreme.
Well I was hoping that they would go look at the Xtractor first, and hopefully read up more on it, cause they can get the Probe to use with the Xtractor, so that it's a completely solderless solution.
well i would definitely suggest using the xtractor or like. The other method is much more difficult not to be tried by noobs. Be sure to read up on each method and know what you are doing before doing anything. I was just letting them know the options.

That's true, making it yourself, without soldering experience will be hard for them.
