Hello today i recieved a xbox 360 and the previous owner said he got the hitachi 0079fl in modeb but never got it recognized in firmware toolbox. well now when you turn the xbox on it doesnt spin the disk and boots straight to the dash. When in mode b it doesnt spin up any movies or games it just sits there but its recognized by windows.

Is this drive bricked or is there a simple fix to it that I am missing out on?

You have to use Slax to get into mode B then in Window use 79unlock wav file

yea ive flashed hitachis before but this one goes into mode b and is recognized by windows spins the disk for 2 seconds then stops
