hi, i have a couple of questions. im using mkv2vob and i have file splitting on so that i end up with two <4gb .vob files. I want to burn these files onto discs. Do i need to burn them onto blu-ray discs or can I burn them onto dvd-r and dvd+r? Also, will i lose "quality" by burning them onto discs? Lastly, and this is just out of curiosity, are .mkv movies in blu-ray format? i dont understand how a movie that hasn't come out on blu-ray disc yet is up for download at 720p and 1080p.

It strips them down so you do lose some quailty but it still looks a little better then dvd even with the blu ray disks they dont look 100 percent still look really good though..

i have another question, what is the difference between .m2ts and .vob? is there a difference in quality between the two? the only reason im using mkv2vob is because my .vob files have DTS audio. im just wondering if i should switch to tsmuxer..

ive never heard of .m2ts before.but in my experience .vob is the worst format there is .vob means video object its the automatic format when you rip a dvd to your hardrive.but to get video files to a dvd you need it to be .vob . i recomend in future you convert your movies with free video converter www.koyotesoft.com
and convert your video files with dvd shrink.google it.
