hey all, like everyone else im awaiting the new fw but i had a question. im on an old hitachi 59 which i flashed over a year ago with 1.4 using the old method(slax cd,dos, etc). since then jungle flasher was released and im curious-do i need to do anything to my old fw saved to disk to use jungle flasher? does it just right over the 1.4? or should i just stick with the old method?

Jungle flasher currently doesn't support hitachi write only read. you can read a hitachi and then flash a samsung, benq, or lite on spoofed as the hitachi. if you want to keep the hitachi you will have to use the old way.

ive heard that but my hitachi is a champ-it plays everything! plus i personally think spoofing is just another thing that can throw a red flag for MS, but in the end who knows.

well spoofing has been around a while and good so far. But who knows for the future. As far as I know Microsoft can not read the firmware and the box is set to not boot if wrong drive(or not spoofed correctly) is in it.

Plug in your Hitachi 59 and power it on
Start Jungle Flasher go to the Hitachi GDR3120 Tab
Under Port Properties select the correct port for your Hitachi 59
Under Drive Revision click the 58/59 bubble
Under Drive select your Hitachi GDR3120l ROM 0059
Under Transfer Method click the Classic bubble
Under Flashing Options click the Dump Drive bubble
Under Port Properties ensure that your Hitachi drive is recognized and click Send Mode-B
After it completes click Open and the Hitachi tray should open
Insert a retail DVD movie or Xbox 360 game (retail meaning not burned) and click Close to close the tray
Make sure to stop any autorun caused by inserting the DVD and click Read to Source
Jungle Flasher will now read your Hitachi 59 original firmware and ask you to save it (name it orig.bin).
After saving, Jungle Flasher should automatically direct you to the Firmware Tool 32 Tab with your stock 59 firmware open in source
Now open your iXtreme1.4_Hitachi.rar and double click fwpack.rar.
Right click on 59_16-12x.bin and select Extract to specified folder choose a location and select OK
In Jungle Flasher, under the Firmware Tool 32 Tab, click Open Target Firmware and navigate to the 59_16-12x.bin you extracted and open it
Now click Spoof Source to Target and Jungle Flasher will inject your key into the Hitachi 59 ixtreme 1.4 hacked firmware.
Go back to the Hitachi GDR3120 Tab
Ensure that your Hitachi drive is still selected.
Under Flashing Options click the Flash Hacked F/W bubble
Click the Flash Hacked F/W button and Jungle Flasher will flash your hacked firmware.
Once it completes, go ahead and power down, plug the drive back into the 360 and test her out.
