I've had a modded psp for quite a while now and i had forgotten to check for any new cfw in a long time and saw 5.02Gen-a and updated to that from 3.71m33 (i told you it had been a while :P).
I am used to Flash0 themes, but i coulnt find any for 5.02gen, so i tried cxmb, but i could not get it working. I found a cxmb.prx on youtube that said it worked in 5.02gen and i dropped the Picnic.ctf theme in the PSP/THEMES folder and rebooted, making sure cxmb was turned on in the recovery menu, but only the original themes were in the list. Is there a noobs guide to themeing 5.02gen?
Also, i organized my games and emulators by putting them in respective "CAT_" folders on my mem stick, but it didnt seem to work right. I was assuming it would end up like this video (look at 0:35-0:45): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKuxu0vkZsM It didnt. I could access the different categories in the vsh menu, but there were no extra categories in the xmb.
I went down to 1.50, then back up to 5.00m33. I have the categories working now, which is great, but cxmb still doesnt work. Im just going ot end up converting them into flash0 themes and rocking out old-school a bit. Thanks!
That worked great. I used a flash0 theme anyway so i didnt have to keep it on all of my memory cards, but your link there is pretty sweet. Thanks for all the help.
