I dropped the thing on a soft carpet so I didn't think much of it at the time but it now refuses to turn on. I'm gonna take it apart tomorrow to see if I can see a clear problem but until then I'm just looking for some insight as to what could be wrong. PSP was modded with FW 3.90 M33-3 I think

When I plug it in with the battery inside the orange light turns on which I assume still means that the battery is charging. If I unplug the PSP or take out the battery the red light goes off.

There is no sound or any noise coming from the PSP indicating any power is being received and the green light does not turn on at all. I've tried turning the PSP on plugged in and on battery power and neither way works. I've tried removing memory card and UMD disk which didn't work either.

At first I figured it was a problem with the power plug on the motherboard which I have heard can be fragile but is that a possibility even though the battery is possibly being charged (orange light)

Earlier today the battery was completely out of power (had to set date/time) and the PSP would not turn on unless it was plugged in. I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not

More information:
When I stick my memory stick into the PSP with the battery in it while it is plugged into the wall and attempt to turn it on it corrupts my Phantasy Star Portable save (and only that one...) I've replicated this about 5 times

Battery seems to be broken, it holds no charge even when I try to charge it with another PSP. I'm not sure if the PSP is actually charging batteries or if the light is just on when a battery and the adapter are plugged into it and I didn't get a chance to take it apart yesterday

Sorry for double post but I couldn't find the edit button. All I could find was edit post title lol
