I have the wiikey (original one, the first one) and the wii clip, It says v3 on it. I have wasted about 8 verbatim dvd-r disc trying to burn the config and setup disk that I need to get the mod-chip working inside my wii. can someone please give me a link to the working versions for NTSC. And not that fourm on here that has all those old torrent links that don't work.

You dont actually need the config disk to get it working, just to play import games. If backup games from your wii's home region arent reading then something is wrong with your install.
