i got Daedulus X64 ( I know there is a new Beta coming out.
) well the app runs ok, but for some reason it doesnt regonise the roms? i put e.g mario 64 in the rom folder. why is it it coming up?

this is what it says exactlty

" daedalus could not find any roms to load.
you can add roms to both \N64 \ directory on your memory stick ( e.g P:\ N64\) or the roms directory within the daedalus folder (e.g P: PSP\ GAME\ Daedalus\ Roms\).

daedalus recognises a number of different filetypes , including . zip, .z64,v64,.rom,.pal,.usa, and .jap"

well i tried all the file extensions, by renaming it. still says couldnt be regonised? could some one please shed some light on this problem? errm running 3.71 m33-4 + 1.50 subset. ( plus all my other emulators work fine .eg. genesis, snes, gba. )

** edit upon writing this i discovered that the beta 2 of Daedalus is already out?! well i installed it but same problem?! roms dont come up, what am i doing wrong? **

the sound is turned off on defaukt as the roms play better without it but you can customize the settings at the screen after you pick the rom where it saus start emulation

The man with all the answers thank you ShaggyZE, Ok how about this one. My custom themes and snes emulator from your emu pack dont play well together any idea why. If I install the snes then install my custom themes they come up corrupt data. Now if I already have my custom themes on there working fine then install my snes emulator then my themes only show the wallpaper, no intros, or custom icons etc. Wierd and I have to install snes in game folder or else it wont work and all the other emu's will only work in game150 folder. I can install the other emu's and they get along great with my custom themes, I have 5.00m33-6 also If that helps thank big dog.

hmm, yea i ran into that a few times too when i added a custom wave and it stopped a lot of my homebrew like Daedulus from loading and i found a few forums that talked about it interfering with psx games but nothing about homebrew, anyway i read the forum a while ago that said something about copying a file and renaming it in the flash0 to solve the problem but like i said it was dealing with custom themes and psx so it may not help but i can see if i can find out what file it was and test it out.
also do you have a phat or slim or maybe in your recovery menu do you have game folder homebrew set to the 5.xx kernel? i've only tested the pack on slim 5.00 m33-6 using the 5.xx kernel and i just put all the emus in the /game/ folder and when using cxmb i had no problems but did run into the same one when manually adding xmb sounds, intros or waves.

probably not, i have a few fake memory sticks too and this problem only happens during certain situations like messing with waves and game boots because i never had the problem when using cxmb themes

Ok cool so I cn keep this memory card and still use it like normal? Does magic gate just speed it up or something?? Thanks for your time ShaggyZE. You dont know how many others youve helped of my friends by helping me. Would downgrading to 4.01 make it more compatible maybe?? I know all the emu's are in Game folder but the 5.00 has the Game and the Game150 folders and only the snes works in the game folder for me for some reason Game150 for all the others. Hmm.. It seems to me its something with the snes like my 5.00m33 doesnt like stuff going into the Game folder cause I can put anything in the game150 or theme etc. and once I put the snes in that game folder is when it all goes downhill none of my themes or my other emus will work. and I went and extracted the entire pack into my psp today and found snes was the only one operational and all the other emus showed up as corrupted data really wierd?

Update, so I actually got off my bum and researched magicgate lol. Some kind of copyright protection encryption service huh

Update 2
So I opened the snes file and went into the s9xTYL configuration settings and changed it from Game to Game150 and loaded it onto my psp game150 with 3 roms (quicker than loading with all the roms) and the snes emu showed up but when entering the rom list said there was an error in reading the card so now I am trying it with all the roms just to see what happens.

Same result error when reading memory stick

yea it causes some problems with some people but for the most part i don't think it can be blamed since i haven't had any problems with speed or corruption and things not working after trial and error to find the problem; so is the snes emu the only one not causing problems, maybe an earlier version or one made for 1.50 kernel would fix things, can upload another version if you have trouble finding it.

the way all of them stop working after installing snes is quite weird and makes me think that the memory stick may have some serious problems and could be one of the fakes that causes a lot of problems that or something is wrong with your flash1 settings and needs formatting, anytime i ever have problems this bad i always try formatting my stick with either the psp or windows.

you could try troubleshooting by downgrading by i never recommend it and it should always be last resort if you can't find a way to fix the problem on the latest firmware

yea that's probably the best place to start especially if you can't delete things, i haven't had that problem with any of my sticks that are sony and have magic gate but still say its not supported so you may have yourself a "real" fake memory stick.

I just bought a genuine mem stick and things are going smooth now, I have put snes and X64 and both work fine, I put cxmb and is working fine all the games in emu now save (before as soon as I started a game in snes it would say cannot save settings) now its fine, before when selecting random theme it would show only the wallpaper now it loads the whole thing Its crazy I must hve bought a doozy of a fake alright. Thanks for all your help man!!!! Later

Try upgrading your firmware to 5.00 m33-6. I know others who couldn't get it too work on 3.71.
