Question about spoofing a benq as hitachi

Hi I just ordered a new benq dvd drive last night off of ebay to replace my hitachi which will no longer read backups. So I know how to spoof im pretty sure, I just open my hitachis original firmware and then copy the key out of it, make a copy of my benq firmware then open the benq firmware and then paste the hitachis key where the benq is, save the key etc. Now my question is after its all done will I be able to flash to ixtreme 1.5 and to 1.6 (when it comes out)? Because the latest hitachi version right now is 1.4 and id like to have 1.5. But if the drive is spoofed as the hitachi does that mean dosflash jungleflasher etc. will recognize the drive as the hitachi? Or even though it is spoofed will it still recognize it as a benq and therefore i can flash all the latest benq firmwares that are released? Thanks in advance!
