Ok, heres a weird problem, hopefully someone out there can help! When I hook my Hitachi up to my sata port on the computer and start the computer nothing shows up at all. If I put my drive into mode b manually by leaving the tray out and pulling the power from the back, and then turn it back on, it sees the drive right away, says its installed and ready to use. I then go into Jungleflasher and it shows up in the drop down menu but says no drive detected. If I try and send mode b(i know its already in mode b) it basically just freezes flasher and nothing happens. Is there anything else I can do here? Im at a loss, only thing I can think is that im not using VIA sata ports, will that be the magic cure all if I get a pci via card? Thanks in advance!
In the middle of JungleFlasher, which bubble is checked, "Use Win API" or "Use Port IO"? You will want to have "Use Win API" selected, and on the left, is that were it says no drive detected? If you can get it into Mode-B, you don't need to worry about the left part of the screen. Just worry about the Right.
Select your drive in the drop-down menu, make sure "Dump Drive" is selected, and click "Read to Source".
If that works, you will need to click on the tab to get back into the Hitachi Section, and click the bubble "Flash iXtreme" and click "Flash Hacked f/w".
