I appreciate that. You're a real class act buddy. Here is the direct quote from the thread, which talks about getting around the AnyDVD trial.
Thread title: Liongate/macro ripping solution!
Posted by: Wolf1967

Hello all, I just wanted to clue you in on the new copyright deal that is prohibiting us from backing up our movies and protecting our investments.
Shrink is the key... 3.1 is sufficient and will do as it is freeware
Anydvd is the first step, and it is free for 20something days and we all know how to get around that one.
Next is Fab5hd which is freeware also.
It may seem to be a pain but you must use all 3 to accomplish given goal. First tear it with Anydvd, then you open file with Fab5 and run it, then you "shrink as in 3.1" the fab file and bring it back down to your 4.7 as in most cases you will get the full dvd but in few you will have to step back to Fab and go main movie only as in the Bangkok deal with Cage and finish from there. I have had an issue with Shrink not wanting to put it back down to the 4.7, but I used the nero7 in that individual case and prevailed!
Entire process takes about 33 minutes on my system... Regards

Your statement is incorrect.

If you take time to observe the rules...
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/2487
Quote: Case examples regarding rule number five (5). No piracy.
Case: Pirated material, such as serial numbers and direct links to pirated, copyrighted material (including direct links to torrent files and ed2k links). PROHIBITED
Case: Posting "descrambling codes" or similar codes that allow unlicensed viewing of protected material. PROHIBITED
Case: Technical, in depth discussion about copy protection circumvention (i.e. cracking). PROHIBITED
What you're asking is for a way to crack/circumvent AnyDVD's licensing and that is prohibited on the forum... and Jo aka bryston answered you in your original thread. You purchase a license.
Sorry to the staff if I'm overstepping my boundaries, but I just have low tolerance for people that just don't get it.

How is my statement incorrect? I copied that remark from someone in a different thread, yet theirs didn't get closed?

Even with a legal version of AnyDVD, those steps are not needed. There are many here including myself that can backup any movie out there without going through all that.

Lionsgate movies now have a copyright where only AnyDVD can crack it. i use it only once in awhile, that's why i'm looking to get the free trial. i bought the other programs, i'd rather not pay for another one which i'm going to use for only Lionsgate discs.

Where do you get this from?
I don't have AnyDVD and I can copy any Lionsgate movie.

I bought DVDFAB, which doesn't pick up any Lionsgate.

That's not the software's fault.
Did you download the correct version? There are two.
The CSS version and the Non-CSS version.

Again you don't get it. Helps to actually read.
Quote: Case: Discussion about copy protection circumvention in general (extracting encrypted content, such as DVD movies, compact discs, copy protected console and computer software, using existing software). PERMITTED
What you quoted was not an attempt at finding a way to crack AnyDVD, just a general statement. You actually asked how to do it.

If you actually take the time to read the threads on specific dvd titles, many of the senior members and addicts post various methods on how to backup your dvds. If none of the methods posted work for you, then you should post in the specific thread for the title of the movie you're having issues with and someone may be able to help you.

This statement is very true! Fengtoa has to have two sites. http://dvdfab.net looks identical to http://dvdfab.com However, dvdfab.net does not have the CSS version available on download. You may download the version with CSS from dvdfab.com and you should not have any more problems.
I have AnyDVD, but there are often cases when certain movies will not rip. In those cases I use Fab, the free version. If for some reason Fab will not work, you may send the files to Fengtoa to get a fix on it. He is normally faster than AnyDVD on getting a solution to the problem.

chpurcell,
vballstud was just trying to make a point about the rules of the forum. He may have been a little rough with you, but I see new members breaking the rules all the time. I report the threads that I see to a Mod, and they remove the information that was posted.

You're the one coming here asking how to illegally crack/bypass software and I'm the clown?
I simply gave you the reasoning why your first post was closed. If I'm a clown, at least I'm a clown that knows how to use Google and the search function. Every thing you asked here could have easily been found by a simple search.
If you truly paid for DVDFab, then it would make more sense to me to go to their forums for support on those dvds you're having issues with... then again what do us clowns know?

Love the sig man! Now let's not get an online war going. Brown paper bags and deep breathing techniques will, or should work! :)
