I had an issue with my cdrom and went to this site and followed the directions here . The problem I am having now is that the cdrom drive is not responding, I can not eject the drive nor does it even read anything in the drive. It does not even seem to be working. Yes i reconnected everything exactly the same way.

Anyone have any solutions, or am I SOL and looking at having to buy a new drive?

The drive that i am using is a Hitachi GDR-3120L. The issue I am having is it seems as if the DVD is not even being read or turning on (easiest way to explain it). When I put the drive back in and connected everything (double and triple checked everything was correct) the drive would not eject or even read. When I turn on the 360 I see on the dashboard that the drive is opening and then closing and then opening. While it shows it on the screen there is no activity at all coming from the dvdrom. I have a good amount of computer knowledge, but this is only the 2nd time i have actually entered and worked on the 360, so in all likely-hood I am missing something somewhere. It is almost as if the DVDrom is not getting any power, even though it is (I tested with a few of my electronics tools). Any ideas or suggestions would be great. If more detail is needed I will provide it.
