peeled it off alittle bit from the corner and then i put it back, and i got the money to send it to sony to get it fixed, will sony care.

idea of how much i peeled off:

You should call them first to find out. Read the first part, Warranty is voided if this seal is damaged". So peeling off part of it could be considered damaged.

hmmms usually if you tell them the seal is damaged in anyway they will void your warranty straight away, best thing to do is not to tell them.

in the future, when u want to remove the warranty sticker, heat it up with a hair dryer and stick a craft knife under it and peel carefully!

Sony's customer support is terrible. I lost my receipt on one I purchased and the date on the bottom was July 2008. I said you offer a year warranty correct. They said yes but you have to have a receipt so we know it is within the year. I said the date on the bottom doesn't tell you that. She said that was just the date it was manufactured not when it was sold. I said they don't manufacture it before you buy it? She said that is just Sony's policy and I told her that was a stupid policy and there is no wonder that XBox and Wii are outselling PS3's. I had an XBOX 360 and Microsoft took it back without a receipt or anything. No questions asked. Great customer service.

man that sucks, u have a friend who might bought a ps3 and still have their receipt?

or if you really are out of ideas then buy a new ps3 and then refund it, and make a photocopy of the receipt.

but make sure its a place like radioshack where they do not put the serial number on the receipt.

You could also try going back to where you bought it to see if they can provide you a copy of the reciept.
