Nobody is going to email you. It can be discussed here. DVD-ROM is on by default and is disabled if unsupported. Is there a reason you need to disable this?

99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

If Nero is installed then it can be turned off (if you elect to burn with Nero).
If Nero is not installed, it will be greyed out.
In that case the last setting that was applied to the burner will be in effect.
So if the last burn (perhaps using Imgburn, outside DVD Shrink) set Booktype to DVD-ROM, that's what you get again.
If Booktype had been set 'Normal', you get DVD+R.
Those settings are changed within Imgburn - not DVD Shrink.

I'm with dialysis

Why would you want to turn off Book type DVD-ROM? If you're using +Rs that's what you want the disc to be burned as. If you're using -R discs, it doesn't have an affect on those, since they don't book type.

I also am curious as to why you would want the booktype function off.

And no, we will not email you. The whole point to forums like this is to help people with their problems, meaning someone else may gain something from any answers posted here.
