I,m unsure if I have to buy a via pci card, or can I use my on board sata controller in sata slot 1 to flash a lite-on drive from 1.5 to 1.51.
My motherboard is a asus p5k-e wifi.
Thanks

It,s only imposable if you give up

That motherboard has an intel SATA chipset. I'm not sure if it'll work for a lite-on.. Maybe someone else can chime in.

I'd still reccommend the VIA SATA card. It's like 15 bucks and flashes everything.

Thanks for your reply.
I don,t want to get half way through & my computer freezes.

I,m not that sure about using DOS, as I,ve read the tut on jf & it looks pretty straight forward.
